A VIDEO SHOWING two students from a rural secondary school apparently having sex as onlookers cheer them on, is now circulating on Facebook. It was posted on October 23 and is titled “Sex In Class at . . .”.

The teens, a boy and girl, were caught in the act, seemingly on a cellphone, at the back of a blue-coloured classroom between a filing cabinet and a desk.

Though both are fully dressed – the boy in a long, blue pants and white shirt, the girl in a white blouse and blue skirt – the girl’s red underwear can be clearly seen pulled down to just above her knees.

Twice in the 33-second video, the boy lifts the back of the skirt, clearly revealing the girl’s leg and some right buttock cheek as he thrusts in and out behind her.

The girl is clearly pushing back against the boy as she leans forward on a desk. She made no effort to hide her identity when the person with the phone came into the room. On the other hand, the boy’s identity was difficult to discern as the top of the haversack on his back was positioned in a manner to obscure his face.

This was all witnessed by at least two other students whose voices can be clearly heard on the video cheering them on.

Now, I was between two minds posting this.

1. I don't think the image is appropriate for a major newspaper

2. The article reads like part of the script for a poorly written smut novel not for a major newspaper.

Anyways, we have another instance of this going on.and from speaking to some friends of late, its more prevalent than I ever expected. at all schools too.

Can the fight against this be won? Or only tempered? Or can't it even be tempered?

I JUST came across this at the back of the paper, and I had to rush in here. That The Nation actually published this photo is outrageous. I completely agree with you, NG. They need to be taken to task for distribution of child pornography.

I am adamant: The editor in chief needs to resign for this.

anybody knows one of the editors at the nation? to ask what their decision making process is like when choosing to add photos?

although, I fairly liberal so I not upset by the photo generally. The distance and angle doesn't make this look any worse... any more graphic than any pic of people wukking up at a fête.

Society is getting more liberal, but I still feel this used to happen a lot in "my day" cept that now EVERYBODY has a smartphone so video and immediate uploads to facebook are easy

I concur. It was happening before us and continued to happen long after we are gone.

If it can be proven that the school children in the printed image were minors I think the author of the article, the editor of that days paper and the Nation newspaper as a company should be prosecuted for distributing child pornography. The article did mention the school was in the country so it could have been the one with a 6th form but WTF, that article and accompanying picture were totally unnecessary. The nation newspaper had truly sunk to a new low.
Even if it's proven that the school children were not minors I think the Nation and editor of today's paper should hold a charge and fine for publishing an image of an alleged sec act no matter if it was blurry.

Roy Morris...seriously. I am not too bothered about the sex, it has happened during my school days, 20 years ago, happened before and will happen again. But to publish this is absolutely irresponsible and they should hold a child pornography charge.

Excellent article Zero.

Actually saw the video. The students were in an empty classroom and from the background conversation, 2 boys snuck up on them and took the video through the door. They weren't being "cheered on" as the nation implies. One boy was basically saying "get in there, do you ting dog" and the 2 boys were sniggering.

I could not believe the nation put the pic in the article.

On another note, very few of us left school as virgins. We need to stop pretending it doesn't happen and start making sure our children understand how to do these things safely and avoid the blemish of a society that now records everything and the lasting impact this can have.

The school in question is alma parris.

I do hope the nation is dealt with accordingly.

Alma Parris????

That explains alot.

What does it explain exactly?

People didn't only recently start having sex in their teens. What is recent is the ubiquity of camera phones.

Alma Parrish explains what exactly?

I know people who had sex on HC grounds so I not sure what the implication is.

For the Nation to publish this is horrifyingly irresponsible.
